Biophotonic therapy is a procedure that exposes the blood to ultraviolet light to heighten the body’s immune response to kill bacteria, viruses or other blood born pathogens. With exposure to UV light, bacteria and viruses in your bloodstream absorb 5X as much photonic energy as do your red and white blood cells.
This means the broken fragments of the killed infecting agents create a safe, autogenous vaccination-like response. This further activates and directs your immune system to the specific infections your body is attempting to overcome. The net result is the induction of a secondary kill of these infecting agents throughout the entire body.
The amount of treatment needed is determined by variables such as the state of health of the patient’s immune system, length of time the patient has been ill, and severity of the disease being treated.
Is BPT Safe?
BPT has been proven to kill bacteria and virus and the blood, super charge the immune system, improve circulation, reduce pain, increase tolerance of the body towards radiation or chemo therapy, produce anti-inflammatory effects, stimulates the production of red blood cells and revitalize the properties of blood.
This therapy has been used for over 70 years by physicians all over the world and has over 140 published medical studies on record for over 60 diseases! Well over 1 million treatments have been given and no serious side effects are known. BPT boosts the overall immunological defenses of the body and is less expensive than many drugs.
Contraindications are signals for which BPT may be damaging rather than therapeutic.
-Antibiotics should not be taken during the course of UV light therapy, unless under the direct supervision of your doctor. They may be photosensitizing.
-Sulfa drugs should be allowed a washout period of 3 to 5 days before BPT is given and not used for 7 days after a treatment. Talk to our office regarding this.
-Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 2 hours following each UV light treatment
What are the side effects of BPT?
During therapy a “flushing” or reddening of the face normally occurs immediately after treatment. This indicates an additional amount of oxygen has been introduced into the bloodstream. A slight rise in temperature may also occur, which is the body‘s natural reaction when the immune system is stimulated. The stimulated immune system continues it’s activity for hours and sometimes days after the treatment has been induced.
Amount of Therapy
The amount of treatment needed is determined by variables such as the state of health of the patient’s immune system, length of time the patient has been ill, and the severity of the disease being treated.
Acute infectious situations typically will be treated with one treatment daily or every other day until improved or resolved.
Chronic situations are treated on a variable schedule, but a typical pattern of treatment would be one treatment two times per week for three weeks, and then one treatment weekly for four weeks.
We initially recommend:
3-4 treatments for Infections, Flu and Allergies
5-6 treatments for Fibromyalgia, Chronic fatigue, Shingles, Asthma
8-10+ treatments for Hepatitis C, Autoimmune diseases, Cancer, MS
Preventative therapy for individuals can be taken every 2-3 months for a pro-active immune stimulation and balance within the system.
It is very important that you…..
Drink at least 12-20 oz of water an hour or so prior to your treatment. Also taking an aspirin may help in allowing your blood to flow.
After treatment assist your body in eliminating toxins that will be flushed by this therapy. You should drink 6-8 glasses of pure or filtered water daily, primarily between meals.
*NOTE: IF YOU HAVE SMALL, FRAGILE OR "DIFFICULT" VEINS (I.E. TROUBLE GETTING BLOOD DRAWN OR RECEIVING IVS), IT IS POSSIBLE YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO RECEIVE BPT. IF THIS IS THE CASE, DESPITE BEST EFFORTS TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE TREATMENT, YOU WILL STILL BE CHARGED FOR THE VISIT. PLEASE SPECIFY WHEN BOOKING*
Treatment may be more effective if you do not take any antioxidant supplements on the day of and the day after your U.V. treatment.
Antibiotics should not be taken during the course of U.V. light therapy, unless under the direct supervision of your doctor. They may be photosensitizing.
Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 2 hours following each U.V. light treatment
Sulfa drugs should be allowed a ‘washout’ period of 3-5 days before BPT is given and not used for seven days after a treatment. Talk to our office regarding this.
